I don't really see how you would be okay with Christianity seeing as you're an atheist. Maybe you have a live and let live philosophy in life. I do not feel comfortable living in a society with so many Christians and religious beliefs. They are the ones corrupting morality, repackaging other's morals and calling them their own, make believing a prejudice and bigoted asshole god in the reflection of their own ego, spreading absolute nihilism in the belief that without god there's no meaning to life. I've got Christians in my family who in no way fit your stereotype, but hey, you're entitled to your own opinion, no matter that it doesn't accommodate the varied facts as they are.

Sure, not all people believe in a bigoted god, but Religion is absolute nihilism, in the sense that without god there would be no meaning. People always say religion comforts people, why else would that be besides the person is totally nihilistic. Yeah, you can defend religion by saying some religious people aren't like that, but it's just pandering and the second part of my statement is something that applies to all religious people.
