There is no semantic difference for you to use as an escape route. You're clearly incapable of admitting when you're wrong, even when the inadmission makes you look worse than being wrong in the first place. Why is that?
Quote:More confusion.Yes you can. There are people on this very board who do so.
You just can not disbelieve on philosophical ground.
Quote:Philosophy lead to God so it is impossible to build a disbelieve in God on this ground. No it doesn't. There are philosophers who are atheists.
Quote:Philosophy is all about love for wisdom.OK, so you know what the word means...
Quote:Wisdom goes well over the border of this physical reality....but you don't know how to do it.
Wisdom is not something physical-material or mental.
It goes a lot further into the inner self and in this place there is no question on who is who.
Quote:Let us agree that there are some atheists that disbelieve for other reason other than the scientific reasons. Finally!
Quote:I haven't find any so far but let us assume that there are some.Ohhh...
Quote:You presume Ben, do you? You are wrong again Ben.The phrase 'I've just had my dinner' is usually a reference to physical ugliness, meaning 'such ugliness will make me vomit and I don't want to waste my food'. Since English is not your first language, I'll assume that you misused it and apologise for misrepresenting you. I'll also caution you to make sure you understand the meaning of vernacular phrases before using them.
Quote:I just can't stand that guy because all he says are untested theories that don't make any sense.Untested? Untested?!? You really don't know what you're talking about, do you.
Quote:A waste of time Ben.The entry of this statement in to The Hall of Shame is enough for me.
We have big bangs all the time.
That is not how the universe started.
Quote:Less repressed? It's as unwise to deny oneself pleasure as it is to overindulge. You don't know that yet you claim that philosophy is your thing...
I would have thought that not to introduce s.hit in our body is all about wisdom?![]()
Quote:Comprendo, comprendo mate, don't worry about that. No, you don't understand. You make a deliberate point of avoiding understanding. I'm not going to fall for your condescending nonsense so stop it. When you're prepared to admit that you don't understand, I'll be prepared to explain it to you.![]()
Quote:Ehm, Ben.No, you confuse a purely physical set of processes with something 'supernatural' that you made up (or that you heard someone else make up and thought it sounded good).
I think you confuse the nervous system with the onion mind.![]()
Quote:Strange Ben but i don't feel any pain in my foot. What's strange is how easily one can become desensitised to one's own nonsense.![]()
Quote:Of course Ben.So, because there might be few of them, you would discount them entirely? Even though their views may be valid? Even though they're people who have as much right to be heard and appreciated as the majority? If that's your idea of 'wisdom', I think I'd be better off staying away from your methodology of 'understanding'.
We shouldn't generalize considering that there may be 1 or 2 % of atheists that do not rely on physical science to disbelieve in God.
Sum ergo sum
