To put it bluntly
jesus says to follow the OT, meaning there shouldn't be christians but jewish people who acknowledge that there is a savior
and accepted him that's pretty much it.

it hasn't. the Law identifies sin and provides for atonement. We in Christianity have the identification of sin and we have atonement.

He did. He made the law impossible to follow as a means to being right before God when He made the law include thought of sin.
He provided renewing atonement that the blood of animals could not.
-He said the law could not be changed until He died.
It wasn't.
