The History Channel is a damn disgrace. Even before its current programming nadir, it was little more than a military recruitment tool for several years.

I have to believe that there is an audience hungry for substantive programming that features well made, thoughtful documentaries about history. It amazes me that they can't figure out how to tap that market.
