Well you see god of the bible has Jealously issues. Not to mention if god is all powerful
he is very boring of a being and not very interesting. You have gods with actual weaknesses
and they have more personality than, i'll fucking burn you for wearing mixed fabrics. Not to mention
we worship anything and everything we like it whether or not it is called worship. Also that being said
the whole jealously thing of course is just a control mechanism for people during that time when
there was other competing religions and gods the whole jealously thing scared people into believing
also the whole fact you more than likely you could and can get killed for not believing in said god. I forgot to mention this the bible
has references to other gods it was stripped out with the original texts god yaweh is a lesser god compared
to the others.
The root idea in the Old Testament word jealous is to become intensely red. It seems to refer to the changing color of the face or the rising heat of the emotions which are associated with intense zeal or fervor over something dear to us. In fact, both the Old and New Testament words for jealousy are also translated “zeal.” Being jealous and being zealous are essentially the same thing in the Bible. God is zealous—eager about protecting what is precious to Him.
