People still keep slaves today because it's Halal to do so, yes? You want to emulate the final messenger and keep to the Sunnah so therefore keeping slaves is fine. I know Sunnis don't represent you of course, but where does the Quran tell you not to keep slaves? The Quran has verses which assume that slavery is widespread and Muhammad didn't come along a free every single slave.
