The Old Market area is all about the historical nature of it's buildings. Every time one is lost, it really diminishes the vibrancy.
I'm old enough to remember the Brodkeys (think it was Brodkeys, LOL) fire, we were driving through downtown (no interstate yet) and I saw a huge piece of burning debris land in the street. I remember the Cooper 70 downtown too.
