Throwback Thursday to one of King's finest moments! Lol.
I think we can more fully appreciate this now that we know him better. So grateful to have you here with me, King!
Not really. Now - knowing Kingpin to be a good guy - I cringe even more, because that skit sucks. Christian attempts at comedy are seriously handicapped by the fact, that comedy works best when it's aimed at authority and power. Christians are too afraid of their ultimate authority - god and "holy" people, which is why they can only poke fun at the weak and the unfortunate - like Adam and especially Eve, in this example. It's like watching comedians in North Korea - you can't shake the feeling, that deep down, the performers are less concerned about entertaining, than with potentially bringing anger of the supreme ruler upon themselves.
Yeah - it's really funny, that according to benevolent, loving god every woman's c*nt's supposed to hurt, because of something one woman supposedly did once. That was a brilliant joke - and wonderfully mimed, too...
The straws are strong with this one.
"Of course, everyone will claim they respect someone who tries to speak the truth, but in reality, this is a rare quality. Most respect those who speak truths they agree with, and their respect for the speaking only extends as far as their realm of personal agreement. It is less common, almost to the point of becoming a saintly virtue, that someone truly respects and loves the truth seeker, even when their conclusions differ wildly."
