Everybody lies. People who promote ideologies (for example - religions) lie more than anyone else.
Not to mention the fact, that most people on the internet, who claim to be "Russian scientists" are crazy people, or frauds, trying to scam gullible investors out of some money. And even the actual Russian government can only be trusted by utter morons, ignorant of anything that goes on in that country.
Anyone can make a youtube video making fantastic claims and then stupid people, desperate for proof of their delusions being somehow true, find those videos and uncritically accept the claims as facts. "Wow - this supposedly happened very far away and there's no way I can verify the information, but it confirms my belief in magic, so it must be true." That's idiotic.
So, yeah - you can go blow your "atheist Russian scientist" out of your ar*e...
