And, I have to ask, who's ego is larger? Someone who simply marvels at the size of the universe and the incredibly low odds that we're us, or someone who thinks that an unseen parental figure created an environment just for them to live in?
Theists, but modern Christians in particular, suffer from what I'm now labeling the Double Star Trek Fallacy. They think that everything around them "must be meant for man" while never asking "what does god need with a starship humanity?" If that's not hubris, nothing is.
Neither you and Cato can offer any profound thought on the meaning of life, etc and just sit wait for proof. What a waste!! Rather try to grasp the meaning of life, meditate on it, try to understand beyond death, etc.
Only thing you proved is that your are LAZY to try to have deep thoughts on this topic. You are just unwilling to do it
Why does life have to have a meaning beyond what we provide for it? And what value is there in wish casting for an existence beyond death?
You seem to think that you're some sort of deep thinker because you have an imaginary friend based on an intentionally vague description found in books written by ancient peasants and vague, never substantiated promises of an eternal afterlife. Which is completely laughable.
If you want deep thought, you need to meet us halfway. So far, the theists who attempt to apologize are lacking in that department. You need more than special pleading, conflating assertions with arguments, utter reliance on tu quoque, and insults.
But, I'm sure you'll just continue calling everyone who disagrees with you stupid. That seems to be the most common behavior of the apologists here. Sound and fury signifying nothing because they have nothing else to provide.
