If by "Nothing" you mean - being honest enough to admit not knowing things we don't know and not blindly believing in nonsense, simply because of fear - sure. Atheism is "nothing" - it's the lack of belief in magical people in the sky. Just like innocence is lack of guilt, or absence of crime and therefore - also "nothing".
Admitting to ignorance is the first necessary step to learning anything. People, who believe in magic can't admit to not knowing and they don't like to learn, so they sit around idly on their a**es, playing with themselves and making up convoluted, self-serving bullsh*t, then claim that they "found the meaning of life" and demand respect. LOL.
You can believe in all the fairy-tales you like - that doesn't get you any closer to any real, useful answers. You can try to suck up to an imaginary dictator in the sky - that won't make your life any better, or more productive than mine. It's just easy answers for dumb people, who intellectually wouldn't amount to anything, anyway - so who cares if they believe in utter nonsense, right? Especially if organizations, like churches and individuals like Ken Ham can make a steady buck, selling bullsh*t to the deluded morons.
You can flip burgers and clean toilets perfectly well, while believing in magic. But when trying to discuss finer points with smart people - faith gives you nothing, except the ability to angrily bark idle threats at people, who make fun of your credulity...
