We as humans have been around for about 300 thousand years

before scientific method we've been explaining the unknown with gods and spirits.
so we haven't been doing the scientific method for very long compared to using made up stories to scare our kids and control our tribes.
Give science a chance brother. the scientific method has hit a wall. So what. That doesn't mean we need to stick our heads back into the cave.
Nor does it by any stretch of the imagination mean that your version of a god or spirit is the right one.

The possibility that a higher being exists is just that a possibility. God of the gaps is still no god to one who needs real proof.
