I mean, you can't prove that a god absolutely exists any more than an atheist can prove that a god doesn't absolutely exist.
I just wonder what more he feels he needs from non-belief in gods? Perhaps he will elaborate on the nature of the something he so relishes. For me, nothing is fine.
