The valley was the tough end of town. I had planned to go into the valley that day so felt a bit scared. I decided to go any way to ask people out to church. The first person I met was an aboriginal man I asked him if he would like to come out to church. He said "No, I am an athiest", I just said fine and hoped he would change his mind. He said to me "This is why I am an athiest", he pulled open his shirt and showed me scars up and down his front. He told me, "I was stabbed and attacked by a mad man in the valley some years ago, and spent months recovering in hospital". I was asked "How would I like it?", God knew the man had not apreciated the attack, so he did not blame him for his initial bitterness towards God. Latter I shared this story with him, and he came out to church and became a christian.
Now we seem to be talking on differant wave lengths. We seem to be hearing differant things.
Now I will change some words above which was made by you and so you can see what I see.
"On morning I got up and walled into the hall and I heard an Imaginary voice say "How would you like to be stabbed in the valley". The valley was the tough end of town. I had planned to go into the valley that day so felt a bit scared. I decided to go any way to ask people out to church so we can compare clothing and pretend to do something usefal. The first person I met was an aboriginal man I asked him if he would like to come out to church and pretend to do something good. He said "No, I am an athiest", I just said fine and hoped he would change his mind. He said to me "This is why I am an athiest", he showed me parts of the bible that is riddled with blood and gore. He told me, "I've seen what religion is and how disgusting it is, I've opened my eyes to reality". I was asked "Why follow religion if it does so much harm?", the spaghetti monster knew the man did the right thing to leave religion, so he did not blame him for his initial bitterness towards God. Latter I shared this story with him, and he came out to say "Keep your religious beliefs to yourself, an atheist I remain."
This is what I'm reading.
Extraordinary claims require extraordinary evidence - Carl Sagan
Mankind's intelligence walks hand in hand with it's stupidity.
Being an atheist says nothing about your overall intelligence, it just means you don't believe in god. Atheists can be as bright as any scientist and as stupid as any creationist.
You never really know just how stupid someone is, until you've argued with them.
