I don't have much in the way of traditional scifi/fantasy geek credentials. Comic books do nothing for me. Well, I've seen all the Star Trek and went to the German premier of Star Trek 8 as a Trill. Anyways.
Wife and I are theoretical physicists (hey, that has got to count for something) so we understand all the boards on Big Bang theory.
We had a Darwin/Dinosaur themed wedding. We got fancy wine glasses with engraved Feynman diagrams from our publications as a wedding gift.
When we visit cities with Natural History museums, we make a point of seeing all the Quaggas and Megatheriums we can.
Once I got drunk shitless from juniper schnaps on a school trip to the alps, and to prove that I was sober, I programmed an alcohol tester on the spot on my programmable pocket calculator. I woke up with a big penis drawn on me forehead and arm, so I guess it was not too persuasive. But the program ran just fine.
I was into electronics since I was 9 yo or so.
I'd call myself a music nerd, though it is difficult to say what exactly that entails. It's more like an attitude. I read about music theory and dabble in composition when I'm not reading science. We go to metal festivals whenever possible (not often enough)

The fool hath said in his heart, There is a God. They are corrupt, they have done abominable works, there is none that doeth good.
