Just thought I'd share...at this point I would NEVER EVER voluntarily live some place that doesn't have google fiber.
Outstanding! I don't think anyone's going to beat this for a couple of years, since most motherboards' LAN cards are gigabit cards, and the little bit you lost from true gigabit was just overhead-- probably on the server side.
So what's the cost, and is it unlimited?
What I really want to know is-- how tf did this ISP only earn 4.5 stars? Are they reserving 5.0 for direct NASA satellite links or something?
It appears to be unlimited, in 'words' as well as 'deeds'. I download/stream a LOT of content (I haven't had any kind of pay television in 15 years ...probably more). Never any 'nasty grams', nor 'slow traffic'.
I pay about 70 bucks a month, which was cheaper than Time Warner's deal.
The only reason I think they're 4.5 stars is that Google is my ISP and people complain "they're looking at everything you're doing....and going to monetize it".
My response to that "at that speed for that price....I'll keep a paper log for them while I'm at it..."
Also, I'll add if I was only a light user of internet (ie browsing, email, facebook (uhg)) this speed would be overkill. About a month or so ago I had to reset my equipment because my downloads off of steam were 'slow', and I was /only/ getting 99 mb/s. Browsing/emailing I never noticed it.
