Drippy is speaking of Manfred Bietak, a real archaeologist not some bible-thumping fraud. Bietak's work has brought evidence of the Hyksos to the world. A group of Semitic people from Canaan-Southern Syria who had chariots and compound bows and who quite likely began as a mercenary unit brought in by one of the late Middle Kingdom pharaohs to prop up his rule and who ended up forming their own dynasty ( the 15th ) which controlled Lower Egypt and seemed to be constantly at war with Upper Egypt. They were rulers, not slaves, and they were booted out of Egypt by Ahmose I c 1550 BC.
None of that helps the jesus freaks so they ignore it and substitute their own bullshit into the record without a shred of evidence.

Look at who is ignoring evidence now. In Bietak's excavations of this 'semetic tribe' they were found buried with sheep like shepards, not mercenaries (which are buried abroad/where they fall)
And at that time the brother's of Joseph would indeed be rulers, and not slaves. Slavery did not happen till a few generations off the exodus.
