And you wonder why I find there evidence weak and speculative? That 25 villages could have supported a large Semitic population is not evidence that they did support a Semitic population.

They found "a house". Only their ad hoc interpretation makes it Joseph's house. If you can't see how much this is a product of them telling a story about it, you are blind. You are interpreting spin as fact because it fits what you want to believe.
