How, I do know that America denied a boat full of refugees that got turned back and most of the Jews on that boat died in Hitler's death camps. But we certainly didn't have our own death camps in the states. I think maybe you keep confusing "concentration camp" which is a death camp, and mere prison camps which are internment camps where no mass genocide happens.
If anyone's rhetoric reflects that "we cant have them" here, it would be Donald Trump with Mexicans and Muslims.
Concentration camp isn't a death camp. Konzentrationslager isn't a Vernichtungslager. One served to isolate, other just to kill. Also KZ is used as catchall term for Nazi place of imprisonment.
Building of first Death camps in Bełżec and Chełmno (Kulmhof) started in October of 1941*. Camps that existed earlier served other purposes; mass killing at the time was done by shooting.
