If the UK had capitulated like France and Holland etc the prospect would have been different. The US probably wouldn't have gotten involved, they certainly wouldn't have had the handy launch pad just off France, and the Nazis would have been able to focus on Russia. What I'm saying is there was a chance they could have won but not in the reckless way they went about stuff. There was a plot to kill Hitler which was halted because they decided that if he was killed Germany might have gained a competent leader and start to win again.

UK capitulation is big if. And it still leave Nazi policy in USSR and possibility of Hitler going to war with USA in answer to Japan attack on States. To have chance at winning Nazis must have had been as pragmatic and efficient as stereotype portrays them and it would mean that they would not be Nazis, which means that there could be no war at all.
