Even if a religion was really nice and everything, the very idea of it seems weird to me: to be "in a religion". What does it even mean?
If religion has some truth and good ideas, I'll take those good ideas, and discard the rest, if any. I'll apply those ideas to my life. I wouldn't however feel the need to identify as someone who got some good information from there, and announce myself as such, any more than I'd join a formal group of people who all learned some morals from He-Man.
It seems that religion virtually has to contain some sort of irrational, "supernatural" element, or else it wouldn't even be called one.
It's just a bizarre concept to me.
