No mincing words, no hiding the facts, the teaching of theism is fundamentally evil and religious homeschooling is the very worst form of child abuse.Um - I see the point. Usually, I would not claim to be anti-theist . . . they can believe anything they want. But the children . . . oh, the children! When the next generation receives an education that is absolutely substandard - yea, Hanky, I'm re-thinking my stance.

I wasn't on board with Brian's idea that the kids should be removed - but again . . . they aren't being educated. The very BEST education should be a right of all children. Just because you can fuck doesn't give you the right to do anything you wish with the resulting children. Children are not your personal weapons to be used against the rest of and the better whole of society! They belong to their country, and their rights to the best which their country can offer them for an education should never be denied them!
Libertarian assholes, take note!

Yes, because it's sooo much better to leave then in a toxic environment that will forever doom them to a life of abject poverty and suffering.
But guys, guys!!! I didn't intend to start a heated discussion here. And my best guess is that we are all on the same side: we are all wanting the next generation of children to have access to knowledge - - - global knowledge - - - anything and everything. And yes, the fundie home schoolers scare the crap out of me. More so tonight, because I met one in person. But we are here.
After processing, you know - - I feel better. Because those kids were apparently not getting computer/internet experience at all. I showed her Christian educational sites and ways to keep her kids "safe" . . . and I really think that now, they might learn some internet skills. Sure, they will be full of xtian indoctrination, but . . . good grief, it's better than nothing.
Still, those home schooling standards are not standards at all. Any ideas for taking a stand . . . increasing awareness, folks?
