I'm not particularly worried about the effects of Christianity going away. Yes, the system is often rigged in favour of Christians even thought it's not supposed to be, like favourable treatment concerning jail time and such. That crap needs to be wiped right out, I'm hoping it is in the process of getting looked at.
I certainly don't think it would "every man for himself". Not in the slightest. The idea that stability can only come from religion is hopelessly flawed. I don't barely even know any Christians, and all my friends are nice people who look after each other. Our care comes from empathy, not from being ordered around by people in silly hats.
I think secular/atheist communities are actually preferable, because they are less judgemental, both of people in their group and those who chose not to be in it.
yeah i guess thats true, and technically i think atheist people can prolly understand mental illness more than the type of christians that believe that people feel bad/act weird cus of their sins :S i dont have a problem with people believing in something if it helps them cope with life, the main is the ones that have such a condescending attitudes, like they are naturally douchebags, but then just act like jerks in the name of god.
