I don't remember much of the books...I need to read those things again... [aloud?]
I won't care, honestly. I've never been a purist between books and tv or movie adaptations. I know that different mediums require different kinds of story telling that often require alterations in the story. I'm a huge reader, and there have only been a handful of times when I've hated a TV or movie adaptation. Dean Koontz's Watchers was one, because they basically changed the whole point of the story, and the movie just sucked even as a stand alone story. But mostly, I enjoy movie adaptations, like all the HP films (well, except 3, lol), Coraline, The Hunger Games, The Lord of the Rings (the Hobbit I'm kind of meh on, mostly because it was toooooo long), Memoires of a Geisha, and a ton of others.
Anyway, my point is, I have not cared about how the TV show has diverged from the existing books, so I doubt I will care when the books finally come out (if they ever do!) and they diverge from the TV show. I'm just happy to get some of the story, because I very much fear Martin will kick the bucket before he ever finishes the books anyway.
