I can't even imagine what the father could've said to deserve a year in jail. And really, not just for this child, but any molestation victim would potentially be unable to function properly when forced to face the perpetrator and relive the trauma... the legal system is fucked up. Heck even I don't understand half the things toddlers say unless their parents explain, so why is it so wrong if the father tried to explain it? At least it's better than misunderstanding the victim...
