Doesn't exactly roll off the tongue, does it? Plus it doesn't really make any sense. What kind of trouble might a donkey find itself in that a person could help it out of? Donkeys are known for being walking suitcases, carrying shit for us and generally keeping themselves to themselves. And if you are in a position where it can kick you in the guts, it's probably defending itself from a sexual assault and you deserve it.
A better saying would be "Don't expect a donkey to say thank you, because donkeys can't fucking talk."

I would have given you one of my special kudos because you show some hilarity but your lack of understanding about the connection between donkeys and some humans make me rethink about the kudos.
