Most people were theists, or know and like a few theists, or something like that.  They are, after all, most of the population.  However, with a few notable exceptions, the theists who show up on atheist forums are not nice people.

Maybe some honestly feel that they are on a mission by coming here. I doubt that these are the majority, though.

I can't picture myself going to a religious forum just to show them how wrong I feel they are. I wouldn't go to my dozen aunts' homes on their prayer circle nights just to discuss my opposing views. I just think there's a tad of arrogance involved when you just have to go out of your way, into a space named after something you condemn to eternal damnation, and bite.

On the other hand, for some it takes balls.

I can master being chill with ballsy people. For all the others, on days in which work doesn't drain me, I'm looking forward to picking their jelly.
