It's a flawed statement. However, was it really a statement? I don't think they were trying to prove, or state anything in particular other than just make conversation. It's incorrect, but something to get upset or stop watching the show for? I don't think so.
It's not massively incorrect either, and could easily be twisted to become correct. If we assume she is talking about a universal good and evil, we know there is not a universal morality, so in that instance she is in fact correct, because a universal morality would require a god to put in place.
Which is better:
To die with ignorance, or to live with intelligence?
Truth doesn't accommodate to personal opinions.
