I'm constantly astounded at how confidently and easily people speak for God. I'd have thought that would be the ultimate sin, presuming to know the mind of God. Clearly he has no interest in speaking for himself.
Yet some people have direct access to everything he knows, it seems, and can tell us all his motivations at the drop of a hat. How could they know all this, when they can't even demonstrate they're talking about anything real at all? And how can millions of theists all know different, contradictory things about what is supposed to be the same thing?
