The below documentary I found interesting, and it seems fairly accurate. King Faisal was apparently assassinated because television was seen as "too Western/secular" to the Wahaabis and Faisal started a television station. Hard to believe today considering how much Saudi spends on Dawah and televangelists. But exporting hatred is also part of the Saudi royal power struggle. The Wahaabis can have Saudi collapse if they withdraw support from al-Saud.
