According to the Book of Genesis, which is the first book of the Bible it is said that
it took 7 or Seven Days to complete the Creation.
There are seven periods of creation recorded in the beginning of Genesis.
Whether God (according to the story) then use the seven day to rest this is a different story.
These periods were turned into days by religious people but originally they were periods
which could mean a lot of different things like elements which were placed in a proper order (consciousness, mind, space, air, light, water and matter) but different people and religions
interpreted that differently according to their agenda.
