With organization of the masses comes power to the organizers of the masses. Power corrupts.
When you kill the leader of the masses, the second leader takes over. When you kill that, the third leader takes over. When you kill that the next one takes over, and you've turned the last three into martyrs.
The people then rally behind the injustice, and feel even more empowered. Only way to really win against a mass of organized people is to crush their spirit. Then you don't lose your people resource while still managing to put the organized mass down.
Please give me a home where cloud buffalo roam
