If I hold a gun to your wife's head and make you act as if you believe by sending your child to my madras, where I have my eyes on the ball of invocations my ideologies, I have a superb chance of making sure your child believes regardless of whether you are only pretending. Lasting victory of Ideology Usually takes a few generations, not a few years.
This is how individuals can be made to truly believe at gun point over a couple of generations.
The west lost the ideology battle at home with many of the second generation youths of Islamic immigrant population not through any failure to point a gun at the head of the immigrants themselves, but by making sure the second generation feel alienated and marginalized rather than trusted and relied upon.
This is a fair point. I definitely need to rethink my views on this.
