I disagree with him because he is wrong. His intelligence generally has nothing to do with it. If a side effect of his ignorance is me thinking he's a complete dumbass, in spite of his supposed 'education', well, so be it.

Oh, and "he certainly is", or "he is certainly". Either of the two would do.
