I think it's really sad how religion can lead people to repress their nature. I can totally understand why it happens.
I'm really glad you were able to break free and finally be yourself!
I don't judge anyone because of their sexuality or fetishes. As long as they don't hurt anyone and everything is consensual, it's their business. No one has any choice about what kind of things appeal to them sexually, it's just how we are. There's nothing to be ashamed of.
As for the story of Lot, that had nothing to do with homosexuality. A common misconception. The "sins" of the town were never made specific, for which God decided to burn the whole place down. It just so happened the angels God sent in were irresistible to the men of the town. You'd think God would have known that would be the case.
I've no idea what the moral of the story is supposed to be. The "hero" of the piece, Lot, offered up his daughters to be gang raped. And he was the one that was spared in all this, along with his family. Before God turned his wife into salt for minor disobedience.
I learned that God is a deranged monster.
