We don't hate Republicans; we just consider a great number of them to be disturbingly bigoted, and to express opinions which horrify us (like the way you feel about the most idiotic, white-boy-dreadlock-wearing hippie types when they talk about laws to keep you from hurting peoples' feelings, or whatever), and to be poorly-educated except in terms of swallowing propaganda put out there by Faux News and other conservative think-tank media outlets (all the while complaining in true paranoiac fashion that the media is liberal-skewed).
We don't hate business; we are simply aware that corporations are completely amoral in most cases, have their own shareholders/profit in mind above the well-being of the nation or its people, and have a looooooooooong history of doing underhanded and dangerous things to our nation/environment/people... all while attempting to gain power/control of legislators in order to pass even more laws that are favorable to those profit margins.
No one hates the wealthy. I don't even know where that stupid, stupid argument comes from. However, if you fail to recognize that wealth has had a dangerous (I would argue disastrous) influence on legal and social policy in this nation (and doubtless in others on which I am ill-equipped to speak), you have had your hands firmly placed over your ears and eyes. The wealthy class, unsurprisingly, work to further their own interests-- the difference between them and the rest of us is that they have more capacity to do it on the national stage (especially since the recent "corporations are people and money is free speech" Supreme Court ruling).
Finally, many MANY of us here are gun owners/enthusiasts. It has already been mentioned in this thread, just a page back.
I'm sick to fucking DEATH of this paranoiac bullshit, so sorry I snapped on ya, but GEEZUS FUCKING CHRIST, man.
