Here's something controversial. Why is it that all opposition to vaccinations, and those that even bring up any kind of link between vaccinations and autism, is smacked down. Ignore the obvious (because they're wrong). Seriously, I've never actually seen a rational discussion about it. Anyone who even vaguely enquires about it is shut down as though they're an idiot for asking. Anyone who questions it is immediately branded a close-minded idiot.
Just recently Robert De Niro was slated because he said people should watch some film about vaccinations and autism (don't know what it was exactly, but he took some stick for it). Surely it is better to have an open debate about it?
On the face of it, it's like there's some kind of agenda trying to stop any information at all that shows a link between autism and vaccinations from even being addressed in the first place, let alone dismissed. I constantly see people say science and research shows no link, but any paper or evidence brought to the table otherwise just gets instantly dismissed as though it's hocus pocus rubbish. Maybe it is, but I never see this broken down and actually talked about.
Saying all that, I've never really looked into the issue that deeply. I'm sure I'm just ignorant of the facts.
