My point being, courts make terrible decisions all the time and that has more to do with a flawed system than it does to do with sexism.

Kill a black teenager in a hoodie?  Nada.
Fire a warning shot at your abusive husband? 20 years in jail!  (Thankfully it was reduced to 3, but still for fucks sake)
