I mean, it's not unfair at all really. AF isn't a site that is related to work, so accessing it from work will likely violate work policies. It astounds me that people think they have a right to access personal websites whilst at work. You're being paid to work, not browse forums.
We have a perfectly good mobile site; if you want to access AF at work and not do it on corporate computers using a corporate connection, use your phone. I still wouldn't recommend doing that unless you're doing it doing work-mandated free time (i.e. at lunch).
I'm sorry someone was fired for browsing this site, but the more general warning to people should be: don't browse non-work related sites whilst you are at work. The forums will still exist in the evening when you get home.
I don't see how it is grounds for firing an otherwise outstanding employee with a spotless record though...the bias here is plain as day.
