Well, Prince Doran joined the other honorable powerful men who died on the show. Nothing suprising there when you look at it like that.
Anyway, this season looks like it's going to be a big one for the female characters, and that's a good thing, though I do wonder whether this is happening because of all the pushback they got from fans in that area or if this where the story was going all along.
