"Ok Tough Guy" a poem

Yes you can
Assert your power
Impress everyone
At the top of the tower
Oh how conceted
And short sighted
It's temporary success
In cosmic time
Can the rich man
Survive sub zero temps
Can the holy man
Survive scoarching heat
Can the dictator
Survive 300 degrees fahrenheit
Can the Prime Minister
Survive minus 458
Oh how tough you are
With your tribal wars
Temporary succes
And still ignore
Long ago
And long before
A creature so small
Beats you all
Microscopic
Found in dew
It's been around
Longer than you
Cretaceous/Paleogene
Had a big disaster
Where lots of life
Did not go on after
Triassic/Jurassic
Catyclysm faced too
Even more life
Ended too
Permian/Triassic
Life got hit
By another bullet
And that was it
Late Devonian
Took more out
But this tiny guy
Kept going on
Ordvician/Silurian
Did as well
Reduce the gene pool
But it did well
Still haning out
In morning dew
Tardigrades
Outlast you
So pontificate
And pound your chests
Over religion and boarders
And politics
All you tough guys
Have nothing on it
The water bear has survived
5 mass extinctions
