But seriously, it is a very interesting perspective you've got there on the whole phenomenon of religion. If you took out all human influence, what would be left? And even the Bible itself comes from human influence, so that has to go for this experiment. If all believers listened to God and God alone... after all they all claim to have a personal relationship with him so it's not that much of an ask... what would they lose? Human influence is in everything they believe, from the messages they receive to the miracles they perceive. It comes from Christianity 'no man is an island' and it's true... without interpersonal influence, their religion could not exist. Without it, all that's left is their personal perceptions of inner experiences... and anyone who understands psychology and/or neuroscience can see exactly what's going on with things like A/S/K... that it's just the brain doing its thing.
