My father is an assemblyman and a well respected member of the community that has many times been the president of various organizations (Historical societies and agriculture societies and whatnot) once nominated for a position at the Board of Fish (and was subsequently shot down by a sports fishing alliance, because he is essentially incorruptible and probably the most qualified commercial fisherman in all of alaska, and if not then quite nearly so). Nominating my father for that position is the only genuinely good thing Sarah Palin did for alaska. And part of my claim to fame is having a father quite worthy of such
