Your blame is misplaced. If we get Trump..it will be because of the people who brought him the nomination....and because of the people who voted for him. If you want to talk ancillary responsibility...there would still be more layers to spread out before you get to a non-voter....such as the opposition (on both sides) who failed to provide a candidate which could defeat him in the nomination or the general.
