Well, I'd say looking after yourself and those around you should certainly be more of a priority than worrying about the feelings of an undemonstrated phenomena, which by all accounts should be able to look after itself.
In fact, I'll put every single human and animal on the planet ahead of things that haven't been demonstrated to exist yet. If you want to call that "egotistical", then go ahead. I'll call it living in reality and caring for those things I am most confident are real.
If he actually needs our cooperation to achieve something then he needs a better means of communication so that we can (a) understand what the plan is and (b) decide whether it's something we want to help with.
You again seem to be trying to make us feel sorry for God as if he's an old man sitting miserably in the corner. If we're such a load of shit why doesn't he just go make a better load of people to play with?
