The internet is censored. Torture goes on in their prisons too, but I'm sure you'll ignore that because it's inconvenient for you. They still have forced-abortions, so women's reproductive rights are practically non-existent. Lesbians and Gays still don't have the right to get married.
You wanna talk Death Penalty? China has more executions than every other country combined. People with disabilities face heavy discrimination. So no, the US does not have just as many human rights violations. No, we don't offer universal healthcare yet. And yes, we've tortured detainees. We still have solitary confinement. But we're still not fucking China. So get the fuck out of here with that.
So what? How does that compare with overthrowing ruling governments in sovereign nation-states and supporting Israel to oppress the Palestinians in their land causing international turmoil, resulting in people dying and fleeing from their lands as refuges, and enforcing a trade embargo against one of their closest neighbours?
And besides that's not a fair comparison, a fair comparison is to compare America with other Western nation-states, and compare China to other Eastern nation-states. When you do that guess where each one comes out?

"That's disgusting. There were clean athletes out there that have had their whole careers ruined by people like Lance Armstrong who just bended thoughts to fit their circumstances. He didn't look up cheating because he wanted to stop, he wanted to justify what he was doing and to keep that continuing on." - Nicole Cooke
