OFC they're satisfied when things go their way?
I can't even understand why you think that's a problem in context...the constitution should be repeatedly and consistently interpreted in favor of our citizens and their rights. That's kind of the point. I think that you're being ungenerous in any case. If we suddenly found guns banned, we wouldn't cease to be americans, we wouldn't stop being a demographic that waves the flag. We'd just be criminals, like so many others.
I'll have the guns I have until the day I die regardless of any law written, rewritten, interpreted, or reinterpreted (and my children will have those that remain serviceable..if they want them...and their children, so on and so forth for as long as it goes). Now you can say..if you like, that this means that I do not honor or respect the institution of law, or the constitution, but you'd be wrong...and I've got the cred to say that with confidence and certainty, I hope you extend it to me. I would not respect a gun ban, I would not honor gun banning laws. I would still wrap myself in the constitution in discussions like these...perhaps even more so, since I will have experienced what I consider to be an unjust loss of rights.
-which is exactly what those gunners you mentioned fear - mind you.

I am the Infantry. I am my country’s strength in war, her deterrent in peace. I am the heart of the fight… wherever, whenever. I carry America’s faith and honor against her enemies. I am the Queen of Battle. I am what my country expects me to be, the best trained Soldier in the world. In the race for victory, I am swift, determined, and courageous, armed with a fierce will to win. Never will I fail my country’s trust. Always I fight on…through the foe, to the objective, to triumph overall. If necessary, I will fight to my death. By my steadfast courage, I have won more than 200 years of freedom. I yield not to weakness, to hunger, to cowardice, to fatigue, to superior odds, For I am mentally tough, physically strong, and morally straight. I forsake not, my country, my mission, my comrades, my sacred duty. I am relentless. I am always there, now and forever. I AM THE INFANTRY! FOLLOW ME!
