Royake Wrote:In advance: I am not calling "Troll". I am questioning the OP's "interview" method.
Gissy, in looking at your posts over the past few pages you are asking single personal questions to posters about one point in their reply, then when you receive a reply you ask another personal question in the same manner. No mention is made to any point or meaning in the reply, simply another personal question.
This interview method, (I use that phrase since you've stated that this is all for an essay you have the thought of an idea of writing), reminds me a lot of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. Which is a theraputic method where a therapist tries to help a paitient change their thought behavior patterns by asking questions aimed at getting them to activly question negative thoughts and behaviors.
CBT uses the Socratic Method.
Cognitive-behavioral therapists want to gain a very good understanding of their clients' concerns. That's why they often ask questions. They also encourage their clients to ask questions of themselves, like, "How do I really know that those people are laughing at me?" "Could they be laughing about something else?"
You may want to change tactics and actually engage the other posters in conversations which will provide you with far more material for your essay, and will result in you gaining more acceptance as an honest poster. If this is the interview method you are intentionally using then be prepared for a long, rough road.
I can understand where they are may be coming from... You have stated nothing more than.... essay...what for, a Psycology major??
I am surprised you lasted as long as 9 pages. Your first violation was on page 2.
I agree with Zen and others...learn from YOUR mistake. Have you found an 'angle' yet??? Did you actually get to
