To not take Al Qaida seriously and miss warning signs. The terrorists who struck on 9/11 were not some crack commando team, unstoppable once they swung into action. They bungled their way into success, made possible because Bush's attention was somewhere else.

Based on the fact that we also seized hard drives, files and other information. Maybe there was only goat porn on them but I think it would be logical that the leader and founder of the organization had much more information stored there. I would be surprised otherwise.

Hey, it sounds "official" to me but you're right, I should retract it. He never had any interest in catching Bin Laden to begin with. Whether this was because of negligence, an obsession with Saddam or a cynical belief that Bin Laden was more useful out there alive and scaring people than dead is something I can't say for sure.
