That's right, my father existed before my birth.
I can't know for sure my father is my father without a DNA test. My mother either for that matter. It's possible that I'm adopted and they never told me. I accept that they're my real mother and father because it's likely and it doesn't cost me anything to do so, and even if they're not my real mother and father, they have been just like a mother and father to me.
And really, in the grand scheme of things, isn't that all that matters? They provided you with the nurturing and love you needed as a child. They were the ones present in your earliest memories, so it's only natural to assume your father is actually your father.
